On this page, we display events that are sponsored by, or are relevant to, SCOA members. Note that the SCOA Championships are sponsored by SCOA, the requirements for determining the event are shown at SCOA Championships Requirements.

SCOA welcomes you to this year's British Sprint and Middle Championships, which we are organising.

Entries are now open on Fabian4 and will close on 26th April 2015

The 2014 SCOA Long Distance Championships were held at the Chiltern Challenge at Nettlebed on Sunday 9th February.  Many thanks to TVOC for hosting this year's championships.

As many of you will have realised, there were a number of issues over the results on the day, which marred the prize-giving.  The Chairman of SCOA expresses his apologies to those competitors whose achievements were not recognised on the day, and especially to those who were incorrectly awarded a medal.

The 2013 SCOA Long Distance Championships were held at the November Classic in the New Forest on Sunday 3rd November.  It was an excellent event; many thanks to SOC for hosting this year's championships

This year's SCOA Sprint Championships took place at TVOC's Urban League event at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory near Didcot on Monday 26th August.  The competition was in two parts, with races in the morning determining the start order for the afternoon's race.  The combined times from the two races were used to determine the overall results, and thus the SCOA Champions.

Exactly 100 SCOA competitors took part on a beautiful sunny Summer's day.  In Men's Open, James Foord of TVOC beat Keith McCarthy of RAFO by the narrowest of margins to take the win.  In Women's Open, Kezia Jukes of...

This year's SCOA Team Championships took place at the Sarum Moonrakers Event held at Fonthill on Sunday 7th July.  The event format was a Harris Team Event where teams of 3 had to collect all the controls on the course between them, together with a 'spine' of mandatory controls that all members of the team had to visit.  Controls could be visited in any order and the team time is taken from the last person on the team to finish, so careful planning is needed to ensure the controls are evenly distributed amongst the team members.  Time penalties are added for any controls that are missed....
